Route660 may be new, but the idea behind it has been around for more than two decades.
The Beginning
At 25 years old, when the internet was still a baby, I started BellHop.com.
Build. Build. Build.
Years were spent gathering information about inns, travelers, cities, landmarks, attractions and more.
The DVD
I sold the BellHop.com domain. But I kept the data. I copied it to a DVD and put it somewhere safe.
The Comeback
Technology caught up with the idea. I pulled that data back out and Route660 was born.
The DVD That Started It All
In 2019, I sold the BellHop.com domain. But after spending years collecting travel information, I couldn't bring myself to throw away the data.
So I copied it onto a DVD, put it in a drawer, and eventually that DVD ended up in a closet.
And there it sat.
Until 2026.
Sometimes the best ideas don't disappear. They just wait for the technology to catch up.
